The firm's founder and principal, has twenty-five years of experience as a litigator. Mr. Sternbach is a 1983 graduate of Stanford Law School. He was educated at Columbia University, where he graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Sternbach also holds a Ph.D. in English language and literature from Yale University.

Mr. Sternbach was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1984. In addition, he is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States Tax Court.

Mr. Sternbach is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the Commercial Law League of America.

Prior to founding the firm in 1994, Mr. Sternbach was a litigator in the law firm of Shea & Gould, where he specialized in complex commercial litigation, including professional malpractice and real-estate related litigation. Since forming his own firm in 1994, Mr. Sternbach has litigated numerous matters on behalf of some of the largest real estate organizations in the United States, a "big four" accounting firm, a major management consulting firm, a national title insurance company, residential cooperative corporations, commercial importers, a diverse group of small-to-medium sized businesses, and many individuals.
